I graduated from Madison Area Technical College with an Associate in Applied Arts Degree in Occupational Therapy Technician in 1984. I have over 30 years of occupational therapy experience in a diverse range of clinical settings including skilled nursing facility rehab, adult developmental disabilities, pediatric birth to three center, school-age based program and subacute rehab. I have served patients with physical rehab, developmental delay, sensory motor development, orthopedic, neurological, respiratory/ventilator, geriatric and cognitive challenges.

In March 2016, I attended my first John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Seminar. After several seminars that year, I wanted to personally experience and know how myofascial therapy would feel and benefit my patients. I invested in receiving myofascial release therapy for my many years of pain and health symptoms. I am passionately grateful for the gains I have received from myofascial release therapy.

Before MFR, I woke up in pain every day. I really could not imagine how I was going to work until retirement because I struggled with serious fatigue since childhood. I was treating patients to help them function in their activities of daily living and I could not figure out how to make myself function better. I sought out medical support for years to help me with multiple symptoms. I was so frustrated that I did not function as well as others my own age my whole life. I could not understand why; and family, friends and employers did not understand at times either.

NOW, after myofascial release therapy, I wake up with NO or very little pain! I do not have significant fatigue nearly every day. I have normal fatigue after I have worked hard all day! I can manage my daily tasks with greater ease and enjoyment. I have improved posture, strength and mobility. I have my energy and life back to make the best of it!

I began treating patients with John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach in December 2018. When a patient feels pain relief and improved whole-body wellness, they can enjoy an active lifestyle.

I love this work which allows me to witness my patients feel better when other therapies have not helped them improve their ability to do daily tasks. My mission is to help everyone feel improved independence in living life and enjoy what they love again!
